Where The Music Meets the Instrument

As you stand quietly, in the place where Mystery meets Substance, the wave shyly approaches and whispers at your feet.  The next is perhaps a bit more persistent. Bold. You have to shift to find new footing in the sand to gain stability. The next wave, in possession of its marching orders, breaks free of restraints and challenges your balance altogether. The earth quickly takes on new shape beneath you, and you need to reposition to gain new ground. You may even have to fight to stay on your feet.

The next….. fresh and gentle, comes and wraps around you so shyly, that you barely notice it much at all, except that it feels cool, refreshing, cleansing, and nourishing. It soothes and caresses, and you see the beauty of the reflection of the setting sun in it.  As it recedes, you are acutely aware of each and every grain of shifting sand, flowing between your toes, rolling beneath your feet, taking new form, and changing the topography of the earth beneath you. There is new hope. This is Life.

Always strive to feel and acknowledge the shifting sand beneath you, accept the changes to your topography, and wait with anticipation for what the tide will bring back to you.  It may be that your song is ready to be sung, and may you always reflect the Son.
